Your child is in Caring Hands of Dr. Desai

Vaccinations are one of the most important things you will ever do for your child's health.
They protect not just your child but every child around them — classmates, siblings, newborns who are too young to be vaccinated, and grandparents whose immune systems are no longer what they were.

Type of Vaccination we offer
Flu vaccines
Annual influenza vaccination is recommended for every child 6 months and older. Flu season in New York typically peaks between December and February — we recommend vaccination in September or October so your child is protected before flu circulates widely in Queens schools and communities.
We offer flu vaccines during well-child visits and as standalone appointments during flu season.
Call (718) 445-3029 to book.
Travel vaccines
If your family is travelling internationally, your child may need additional vaccinations depending on the destination. Common travel vaccines for children include hepatitis A, and meningococcal boosters — depending on where you are going and how long you will be there.
We recommend scheduling a travel health consultation at least 6 to 8 weeks before departure, as some vaccines require multiple doses or time to become effective. Call us and tell us your destination — we will let you know exactly what your child needs.
Catch-Up vaccinations
If your child has missed vaccines — because of illness, late starts, or a gap in paediatric care — We can create a personalised catch-up schedule to bring them up to date as safely and efficiently as possible.
This is particularly relevant for families who are new to the United States or who are transitioning their child's care from another country, where vaccination schedules may differ from US guidelines.
Call (718) 445-3029 to schedule your child's vaccinations or to speak with Dr. Desai about any questions you have.

Vaccination & Immunisations
We take time at every visit to explain exactly which vaccines your child is receiving, what they protect against and what side effects are possible.
We follow the complete official AAP and CDC recommended childhood immunisation schedule — the most thoroughly studied and safety-monitored vaccination programme in the world. Vaccines are given at specific ages because that is when they provide the strongest protection and because some diseases are most dangerous in the very youngest children.
If you have questions about vaccines — whether you have concerns, have heard conflicting information, or simply want to understand the science — We welcome every conversation.
